I was delighted to be invited by the talented Sonny Liew to contribute an illustration interpreting his latest graphic novel, The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye (Pantheon Books). I chose to represent the artist Charlie Chan looking back at his life's work—including Ah Huat's Giant Robot, Bukit Chapalang, The Roachman, Soldier's Tale—and his lost love, Lily.
